Listen to the Trailer for The Katniss Chronicles: Part II!

The Katniss Chronicles are almost back!  Just one week away until this BRILLIANT audio drama based on The Hunger Games trilogy will be back to help make the wait until November 22 a little less painless!  Today was a big day, as they released the trailer for their Catching Fire installment of the show!!

Here’s the press release:

Los Angeles, CA – June 18, 2013 – The premiere episode of the fan-made audio drama The Katniss Chronicles: Part II is one week away from its June 25th release, and the project’s creators have now released their new trailer – teasing what is next in store for the Girl on Fire! This is the sound of rebellion!

Based on the second book of author Suzanne Collins’ bestselling Hunger Games trilogy, The Katniss Chronicles: Part II will continue the story of Katniss Everdeen, a 17-year-old girl living in a post-apocalyptic America, who has just been crowned one of two victors in the annually televised battle to the death known as the Hunger Games.

“I hope that the trailer for Part II will give listeners a taste of the talented cast and thrilling adventures that await them in the next installment of The Katniss Chronicles,” says Sam Rhodes, who is writing, directing, and editing the audio drama.  Premiering on June 25, 2013, Part II promises even more nonstop action and excitement, as it will feature 22 episodes, with each new episode to be released on a weekly basis.

The Hunger Games Returns to the Big Screen!

If you didn’t see The Hunger Games on the big screen, or if you’re dying to see it there one more time, you’re in luck!  AMC is bringing some of your favorite movies back to the theater with its Spend Your Summer Nights At AMC event.  Tickets cost $3 and proceeds benefit Autism Society, Autism Speaks, and Will Rogers Institute–so you can watch a great movie, for a great cause!  The Hunger Games will be showing in AMC Theaters all over the country from July 15-17, click here for tickets!

Join Us Tonight for The Fandom Hangout, Episode II

Today, starting at 7:30pm Eastern Time/4:30pm Pacific Time, TheFandom.net is going to be hosting another Google Hangout!  If you missed our very first episode, don’t worry, you wouldn’t have needed to see it before watching this one to understand what’s going on.

But you certainly won’t want to miss tonight’s hangout, because we’ll be announcing some cool giveaways to help officially launch the new sites that have been basically transferred from tfgeekgirl.com to their own fandom!

We’ll be announcing the prizes and how you can enter each one as well as some news from our various fandoms.

Then we’ll get into discussing what’s going on in some of our busy fandoms, including movie news for some (Divergent, The Maze Runner, The Mortal Instruments, Ender’s Game, Percy Jackson) as well as TV and book news for others (Harry Potter, Delirium, Game of Thrones).

Here’s the latest “teens react” episode from The Fine Brothers– this time they take on the Catching Fire teaser trailer! There’s a really great mix of teens in this one from hardcore fans to some who aren’t really fans at all.  As you can imagine, there’s a wide variety of opinions here!

 

 

Rumor: Catching Fire Trailer to Debut at Comic Con?

There’s a lot of speculation out there that the full-length, theatrical trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will make its grand debut at next month’s San Diego Comic Con, and we have to say this SDCC blog post helps fuel that rumor!

  • There will be an exclusive trailer for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire at Comic-Con this year, according to this tweet from Film Trailer editor Jake Thomas.

So if you click on that link, you will see the tweet no longer exists.  What does this mean?  Was it an erroneous tweet that should never have been tweeted OR was it an accurate one that was tweeted prematurely?  We may never know.   So please, keep this filed securely under RUMOR until we have confirmation.  Currently we have none, so until Lionsgate says it’s true, we shall believe it is not–though hope that it is!
