THREE MOVEMENTS FOR ORCHESTRA, MVT. 1

You might have noticed we have been providing you with some of the music that is in the Hunger Games movie, but is NOT in the original score by James Newton Howard. Why? Because we LOVE every single piece used in the movie, and people are having a hard time finding them! So here’s another one! It’s called Three Movements for Orchestra, MVT. 1, written by Steve Reich and performed by Lower Austrian Tonkünstler Orchestra. You might have heard it during the bloodbath at the Cornucopia scene!

Chilling? Creepy? Disturbing? Sadistic? Beautiful? Well, with Gary Ross’ superb direction combined with Tom Stern’s realistic cinematography, we can say all of the above! What do you think?
