There seems to be a never ending stream of Jennifer Lawrence news this weekend! Jennifer spoke with Canoe about how she’s handling the fame that has come with the success of The Hunger Games, and working with actors like Robert De Niro.
Has it been difficult to handle success — so much, so fast?
It hasn’t been for me. I don’t know what I’m waiting for. Everyone made it seem like, when it happens, everything his going to change, and you meet famous people and obviously, they act differently, but that’s because people treat them differently. And I would meet them and I used to wonder, ‘Is that what I’m going to end up like?’ But nothing has actually changed for me.
Nothing?
Well, now I get followed by paparazzi, but I just change cars with my friends so they don’t follow me, or now I’m looking at houses, because I love my condo, but it doesn’t have a gate so I have to look into moving. It’s just technical things like that. I have all the same people around me. I don’t like having B.S. people around me.
Did the Hunger Games mean a change in the roles you’ve been offered?
I didn’t really have any career expectations. I know that seems weird, but I’ve always been incredibly lucky, in that, the one script I read, that I fall in love with and I’m like, ‘I have to make this movie!’ or ‘I have to work with this director!’ — I’ve done it.
So that was such a rare, incredibly lucky thing that’s happened to me, that I wasn’t pining after these imaginary roles that I thought Hunger Games would satisfy. It was actually the opposite — I was afraid this one character would overpower the rest of my characters. But I genuinely liked the books and the movie and that character, and I wouldn’t be embarrassed to be known as that character for the rest of my life. Well, obviously, not only that character.

As previously speculated, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will begin principle photography on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Jennifer Lawrence confirmed with ET Canada on the red carpet at TIFF for her new movie The Silver Linings Playbook, that she will begin filming this upcoming Tuesday. Woody Harrelson also mentioned that he would begin filming in roughly 9 days (September 17, 2012).

While promoting their upcoming film, The Silver Linings Playbook, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper talked to MTV about Catching Fire in Toronto. As you will see below Mr. Cooper is quite the Hunger Games fan, who knew?
It seems that “Hangover” actor, currently at the Toronto International Film Festival promoting his and co-star Jennifer Lawrence’s new film “The Silver Linings Playbook,” is the latest person to catch fire and become a “Hunger Games” fan. “I just saw it,” Cooper told a surprised Lawrence when MTV News spoke with the pair at TIFF. “I didn’t even tell you? I didn’t text you?”
Cooper further proved his “Hunger Games” fandom by listing reasons why he’s excited for “Catching Fire” to come out. “Philip Seymour Hoffman is in this,” he said. “He’s unbelievable.”
The Oscar-winning “Capote” star isn’t the only newcomer on board for “Catching Fire.” Sam Claflin was recently cast as Finnick, and Lawrence expressed her own excitement over the casting. “He’s wonderful. He’s really sweet, a great, wonderful actor. He’s got a great American accent.”
Excited as he is for Lawrence’s next turn as the Girl on Fire, Cooper admitted his disappointment that a certain character won’t be back for the sequel.
“I’m bummed out that Wes Bentley got killed. He was awesome,” he said. When MTV’s Josh Horowitz tried to assure him that Bentley’s character, Seneca Crane, might still be alive, both Cooper and Lawrence were quick to shut him down, knowing full well that the door closing on Seneca meant the gamemaker’s death.
“It’s kind of like a Tupac situation,” Lawrence explained nonchalantly.
